What does this fault code mean?
The code applies to the front right seat belt tensioner and is a configuration fault. The SRS control module has identified that a tensioner is fitted, even though it is programmed to expect none. The fault is intermittent: the control module recorded it earlier, but now finds that it is no longer present.
Possible causes
- The configuration in the SRS control module does not match the seat belt tensioners that are fitted
What you can do
- 1Read off the fault code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Check that the SRS control module fitted is the correct one for the seat belt tensioners in the car
- 3Have a workshop check the configuration, since that needs workshop equipment
- 4Do not work on the airbag system or the seat belt tensioners yourself; leave the checks to a workshop
