What does this fault code mean?
The code applies to the rear left seat belt tensioner and is an intermittent configuration fault. The SRS control module has identified a tensioner as fitted, although it is programmed to expect none. It has recorded the fault before, but no longer finds it present.
Possible causes
- The SRS control module has a setting that expects no seat belt tensioner in this position, but one is fitted
What you can do
- 1Read off the fault code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Check that the correct SRS control module is fitted for the seat belt tensioners in the car
- 3Have a workshop check the configuration, since that needs workshop equipment
- 4Do not work on the airbag system or the seat belt tensioners yourself; leave the checks to a workshop
