What does this fault code mean?
This code applies to the right rear seat belt tensioner. The SRS control module checks the signal from it and sets the code when the voltage in the ignition cable stays too high for a while.
Possible causes
- The ignition cable, or the connectors to the right rear tensioner, is shorted to supply voltage
What you can do
- 1Read off the fault code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Have a workshop check the ignition cable and connectors to the right rear tensioner for a short to supply voltage
- 3If the fault changes from permanent to intermittent, the workshop may try the right rear seat belt tensioner
- 4Do not work on the airbag system or the seat belt tensioners yourself; leave the checks to a workshop
