What does this fault code mean?
The fault applies to the centre rear seat belt tensioner and is intermittent. The capacitance is too high in the connector or in the signal wire to the control module, so the fault may come and go.
Possible causes
- The connector has too high capacitance
- The signal wire between the centre rear tensioner and the control module has too high capacitance
What you can do
- 1Read off the fault code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Have a workshop inspect the connectors at both ends of the signal wire for oxidation and contact resistance
- 3Have a workshop search for temporary shorts to ground on the signal wire, and repair what is found
- 4Do not work on the airbag system or the seat belt tensioners yourself; leave the checks to a workshop
