What does this fault code mean?
The voltage in the signal wire to the seat belt tensioner on the left side of the third seat row has been too high for a longer period, which suggests a short circuit to voltage. The cause can be in the wire, the connector or the seat belt tensioner. The code can also give a general warning lamp.
Possible causes
- Short circuit to voltage in the signal cable running to the SRS control module
- Short circuit to voltage in the connector
- Short circuit to voltage in the seat belt tensioner
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop check that the connector at the seat belt tensioner on the left side of the third seat row is fully engaged and undamaged
- 2Have a workshop check chafed or pinched sections of the wire between the seat belt tensioner and the control module
- 3If the code changes from permanent to intermittent, the seat belt tensioner may be faulty; have a workshop try a new one
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the wire for a short circuit to voltage
- 5Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop check it
