What does this fault code mean?
The resistance in the signal lead to the seat belt tensioner on the left side of the third seat row has been too high for a longer period, which suggests contact resistance or an open circuit. The cause may be in the wire or in the tensioner. The code can also give a general warning lamp.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance or open circuit in the signal lead running to the SRS control module
- Open circuit in the tensioner, with resistance too high in the igniter
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop check the connector at the left tensioner in the third seat row for contact resistance and oxidation
- 2Have a workshop check breaks and chafing on the wire between the tensioner and the control module
- 3If the code changes from permanent to intermittent, the tensioner may be faulty; have a workshop try a new one
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the wire
- 5Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop check it
