What does this fault code mean?
The capacitance in the circuit to the rear left inflatable curtain has been too low for a longer period. Capacitance is the circuit's ability to store electrical charge. The cause is too low capacitance in the built-in capacitor in the connector to the igniter cable, and a defective connector part closest to the curtain is a probable cause.
Possible causes
- Capacitance too low in the built-in capacitor in the connector to the igniter cable
- Defective connector part closest to the rear left curtain
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop check that the connector part closest to the rear left curtain is fully engaged and undamaged
- 2Have a workshop check damage on the wire between the curtain and the control module
- 3The probable cause is a defective connector part closest to the curtain; have a workshop replace the wiring to the curtain
- 4If the fault remains after that, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the circuit
- 5Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop check it
