What does this fault code mean?
The resistance in the signal wire to the rear left inflatable curtain has been too high for a longer period, which suggests contact resistance or an open circuit. The cause may be in the wire or in the curtain.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance or open circuit in the signal lead between the curtain and the supplemental restraint system (SRS) control module
- Open circuit in the curtain, with resistance too high in the igniter
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop check the connector to the rear left curtain for contact resistance and oxidation
- 2Have a workshop check breaks, chafing and crush damage on the wire between the curtain and the control module
- 3If the fault returns, the curtain may be faulty; have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the wire and the curtain
- 4Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop check it
