What does this fault code mean?
The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) monitors the signal from the inflatable curtain at the rear left. The signal cable shows a resistance lower than expected, which can be caused by a short circuit in the wiring to the curtain or in the curtain igniter.
Possible causes
- Short circuit in the igniter wire, or in the plugs that join the curtain to the SRS module
- Short circuit in the inflatable curtain, so that the resistance in the igniter is too low
What you can do
- 1With a diagnostic tool you can read and note the fault code before it is cleared
- 2Have a workshop check the wiring and the connectors between the rear left inflatable curtain and the SRS module
- 3If the fault code does not clear after these checks, a workshop can try replacing the inflatable curtain
- 4Have a workshop handle the airbag system, not you
