What does this fault code mean?
The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) monitors the signal from the rear right inflatable curtain. The signal cable reads a voltage below the expected level, which can be caused by a short to ground in the wiring to the curtain or in the curtain itself.
Possible causes
- Short circuit to ground in the ignition cable or the connectors between the inflatable curtain and the SRS module
- Short circuit to ground in the inflatable curtain
What you can do
- 1If you have a diagnostic tool, note the fault code before it is cleared
- 2Have a workshop check the wiring and connectors between the rear right inflatable curtain and the SRS module
- 3If the checks show nothing, a workshop can try replacing the rear right inflatable curtain
- 4Leave any work on the airbag system to a workshop rather than doing it yourself
