What does this fault code mean?
The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) monitors the signal from the rear right inflatable curtain. The capacitance in the signal cable is too high. The fault lies in the built-in capacitor in the plug for the igniter cable, where there is either too high capacitance or a short circuit.
Possible causes
- Too high capacitance, or a short circuit inside the built-in capacitor of the plug that feeds the curtain igniter
What you can do
- 1With a diagnostic tool you can read the fault code and note it before you clear it
- 2Have a workshop check the connector on the ignition cable for the rear right inflatable curtain, since the integrated capacitor is located there
- 3If the fault code remains after this check, a workshop can try replacing the rear right inflatable curtain
- 4Airbag work is not something to attempt yourself, so leave the check to a workshop
