What does this fault code mean?
The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) monitors the signal from the rear right inflatable curtain. The signal cable shows a resistance lower than expected, which can be caused by a short circuit in the ignition cable to the curtain or in the curtain itself.
Possible causes
- Short circuit in the ignition cable or the connectors between the inflatable curtain and the SRS module
- Short circuit in the inflatable curtain, so that the resistance in the igniter is too low
What you can do
- 1If you have a diagnostic tool, note the fault code
- 2Have a workshop check the wiring and connectors between the rear right inflatable curtain and the SRS module
- 3If the fault code is still present after these checks, the curtain can be replaced, which a workshop does
- 4The inflatable curtain should be handled by a workshop, not by you
