What does this fault code mean?
Although the fault code refers to the rear right inflatable curtain, it concerns the signal from the seat belt tensioner, and the fault lies in the wiring circuit that belongs to it. The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) has also identified an inflatable curtain as installed, even though it is programmed for none.

- The SRS module identifies that an inflatable curtain is installed, even though it is programmed without one
What you can do
- 1With a diagnostic tool, you can note which fault code is shown
- 2Have a workshop look at whether the rear right connector has a curtain attached when the car has five seats
- 3A workshop can establish which wiring circuit the fault lies in, since this determines which fault code is shown
- 4If no fault is found, the control module is the part to replace, which a workshop does
- 5Leave all work on the airbag system to a workshop rather than doing it yourself
