What does this fault code mean?
The fault is intermittent, meaning it comes and goes, so it may not be present right now. The SRS module has identified a side impact sensor at the front left, even though the module is programmed for none to be fitted. This can be caused by the sensor being incorrectly installed or by the sensor itself being faulty.
Possible causes
- Incorrect installation of the side impact sensor
- Faulty side impact sensor
What you can do
- 1If you have a diagnostic tool, note the fault code and see whether it returns
- 2Have a workshop check that the side impact sensor at the front left is fitted correctly
- 3If the sensor is faulty, it should be replaced, which a workshop does
- 4Leave any work on the SRS system to a workshop, not to you
Symptoms you may notice1
- The SRS warning lamp is lit
