What does this fault code mean?
The fault is intermittent, so it may not be present right now. The SRS module has found a side impact sensor at the rear right, even though it is programmed for none to be fitted. The fault may have occurred earlier and then disappeared.
Possible causes
- Incorrect installation of the side impact sensor
- Incorrect side impact sensor
What you can do
- 1Note the fault code with a diagnostic tool, if you have one, and see whether it comes back
- 2Have a workshop check how the rear right side impact sensor is fitted
- 3A workshop should confirm that the sensor belongs to the car's equipment
- 4If the sensor is incorrect, it should be replaced, which a workshop does
- 5The SRS system should be handled by a workshop, not by you
