What does this fault code mean?
Communication between the SRS module and the rear right side impact sensor is faulty for a longer period. This can be caused by an open circuit or poor contact in the wiring, or by a damaged sensor. The SRS warning lamp comes on and a message is shown.
Possible causes
- Open circuit or poor contact in the signal cable or connectors between the SRS module and the rear right side impact sensor
- Open circuit in the rear right side impact sensor
- Damaged side impact sensor, so that communication with the SRS module does not work
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code with diagnostic equipment before anything is replaced
- 2Have a workshop check the wiring and connectors between the SRS module and the rear right side impact sensor for open circuits
- 3If no fault is found in the wiring, have the workshop replace the rear right side impact sensor
- 4Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop check and repair the fault
