What does this fault code mean?
The airbag system control module (SRS) has received a fault code from the central electronic module (CEM) for the driver's seat belt buckle, and the fault is present right now. The signal from the buckle is therefore missing. It can be caused by an open or short circuit in the wiring or connectors to the buckle.
Possible causes
- Open or short circuit in the wiring or connectors to the driver's seat belt buckle
What you can do
- 1Read the fault codes with diagnostic equipment and write them down before anything is fixed
- 2Fix the fault codes in the central electronic module (CEM) and clear them first; the SRS fault is cleared last
- 3Have a workshop check the wiring and connectors to the driver's seat belt buckle
- 4The airbag system is a job for a workshop; do not work on it yourself
Symptoms you may notice1
- A general orange warning lamp is lit
