What does this fault code mean?
The SRS module does not receive the CAN signal for the number of seats from the central electronic module (CEM). The code is set when the signal is missing, and the SRS warning lamp comes on.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the CAN cable
- Defective central electronic module (CEM)
What you can do
- 1Read and note the fault code with diagnostic equipment
- 2Have a workshop check the CAN cable for an open circuit and fault-trace the CEM if the cable is intact
- 3Do not work on the airbag system yourself; leave it to a workshop
