Possible causes

- Fault in the central electronic module (CEM)
What you can do
- 1Note the fault code with diagnostic equipment and write it down
- 2Have a workshop confirm that the CEM sends the car model on the CAN network
- 3Have a workshop check the CAN cable for an open circuit and fault-trace the CEM if needed
- 4The airbag system is a job for a workshop; do not work on it yourself
Symptoms you may notice1
- The general orange warning lamp is lit
