What does this fault code mean?
The SRS module has registered a driver's seat belt reel sensor as fitted, although the module is programmed for no such sensor to be there. The fault is set after a longer period, and the SRS warning lamp comes on with a message.
Possible causes
- The driver's seat belt reel sensor is fitted, but the module is programmed for it not to be present
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code with diagnostic equipment
- 2Have a workshop load new software onto the SRS module
- 3If the fault remains, have a workshop replace the seat belt tensioner with one that has no reel sensor
- 4Do not work on the airbag system yourself; leave it to a workshop
