What does this fault code mean?
The SRS control module has recorded an internal fault in the driver's seat belt reel sensor for a longer period. The cause is a damaged sensor, and it is replaced together with the belt tensioner because the two share one unit.
Possible causes
- Damaged driver's seat belt reel sensor
What you can do
- 1Read the fault code with diagnostic equipment and note it
- 2Have a workshop replace the driver's belt tensioner, as the reel sensor is in the same unit
- 3Clear the fault code and check that it does not return
- 4Do not work on the belt tensioner or the SRS airbag system yourself; have a workshop do the replacement
