What does this fault code mean?
The SRS control module has noticed that a steering column is fitted, although the module is programmed for no steering column. The configuration in the module and the vehicle's equipment therefore do not agree, and the SRS warning lamp lights.
Possible causes
- A steering column is fitted even though the module is programmed to expect none
What you can do
- 1Read the fault code with diagnostic equipment and note it
- 2Mention to the workshop any recent work on the steering column
- 3Have a workshop check the module; if no other cause is found, the module may need replacing
- 4Do not work on the SRS airbag system yourself; have a workshop carry out the checks
Symptoms you may notice1
- The SRS warning lamp is lit
