What does this fault code mean?
The SRS control module has recorded that the signal from the passenger seat belt reel sensor has been too low for a longer period. The cause is a short to earth in the wiring or the plugs between the control module and the reel sensor.
Possible causes
- Short to earth in the wiring or plugs between the SRS control module and the passenger reel sensor
What you can do
- 1Read the fault code with diagnostic equipment and note it
- 2Have a workshop check chafed or pinched wiring to the passenger reel sensor
- 3Have a workshop check the wiring between the SRS control module and the reel sensor for a short to earth
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop replace the belt tensioner, as the reel sensor is part of it
- 5Do not work on the airbag system or the belt tensioner yourself; have a workshop do the work
