What does this fault code mean?
The supplemental restraint system (SRS) module has registered a parameter fault in the signal line from the occupant weight sensor over a longer period. If code SRS-0112 is also stored, it should be diagnosed first. The fault can come from a damaged sensor or from a sensor that has been fitted incorrectly.
Possible causes
- Damaged occupant weight sensor
- Occupant weight sensor fitted incorrectly
What you can do
- 1If code SRS-0112 is also stored, have a workshop diagnose it first
- 2Clear the restraint system codes and road test the car to see whether the occupant weight sensor codes return
- 3Have a workshop check that the occupant weight sensor is correctly fitted and not damaged
- 4If the sensor is replaced or adjusted, the workshop must calibrate the occupant weight sensor afterwards
- 5Do not work on the restraint system yourself; the checks and any replacement are a workshop job
