What does this fault code mean?
The restraint system control module has registered an internal fault in itself, which sets code SRS-0121. The fault is intermittent, so it may have occurred at an earlier time and not be present now. It concerns the control module, not something outside it.
Possible causes
- Internal malfunction within the control module of the restraint system
What you can do
- 1Read off the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2If it comes back, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the control module
- 3A replacement module must be programmed by a workshop before it works, since it is delivered without software
- 4Do not work on the restraint system yourself; have a workshop carry out the checks
