What does this fault code mean?
Code SRS-0122 is displayed when the restraint system control module itself detects a fault in one of its internal functions. The fault is intermittent, meaning it has occurred at some point but may not be present now. The control module is the cause of the fault.
Possible causes
- An internal malfunction in the restraint system control module
What you can do
- 1Read off the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2If it returns, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the control module
- 3A new module comes without software and must be programmed by the workshop
- 4Do not work on the restraint system yourself; have a workshop carry out the checks
