What does this fault code mean?
The leakage resistance in the ignition circuit to the right SIPS bag has been registered as too low, which points to an earth short circuit. The fault is intermittent, so it has occurred at some point but may not be there now. The cause can lie in the ignition wire, the connectors or the SIPS bag itself.
Possible causes
- Earth short circuit in the ignition wire or the connectors between the SIPS bag and the restraint system control module
- Earth short circuit in the SIPS bag itself
What you can do
- 1Read off the code and clear it to see whether it returns
- 2If it returns, have a workshop check the connectors and wire to the right SIPS bag
- 3The workshop also checks the SIPS bag, since the fault may be located there
- 4Do not work on the SIPS bag or its wiring yourself; this is a workshop job
