Possible causes

- Damaged supplemental restraint system (SRS) control module
What you can do
- 1Fix any other SRS codes for the adaptive steering column first
- 2Have a workshop visually check the connector at the steering column and the connector to the SRS control module for loose, oxidised or corroded contacts
- 3Have a workshop follow the wiring between the steering column and the SRS control module and look for chafing, crush damage and loose clips
- 4Clear the code and see if it comes back. If it does, have a workshop check the circuit with diagnostic equipment
- 5Do not replace the SRS control module until the connectors and wiring have been checked by a workshop
- 6Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop check it
