What does this fault code mean?
The supplemental restraint system control module has registered an internal fault. The fault can occur if the battery is weak when a control module in the car is being programmed, and in that case the SRS control module only needs to be reprogrammed.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the supplemental restraint system control module
- Weak battery in the car when any control module is being programmed
What you can do
- 1If the fault came up while a control module in the car was being programmed, the SRS control module should only be reprogrammed, not replaced. Have a workshop do this
- 2Fully charge the battery before a workshop reprograms the control module
- 3If the fault came up in another way, the whole control module may need to be replaced; a new one is supplied without software and must be programmed by a workshop
- 4Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop check it
Symptoms you may notice1
- The SRS warning lamp is on
What the fault can affect1
- The airbag system may stop working while the fault code is stored
