What does this fault code mean?
The SRS has registered that the current in the circuit to the driver's seat belt buckle is outside the permitted range. This can be caused by poor contact in the connectors or by a faulty buckle. The fault is intermittent, so it may not be present right now.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance in the connectors at the buckle
- Faulty seat belt buckle
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop visually check the connector at the seat belt buckle for loose, oxidised or corroded contacts
- 2Clear the code and see if it comes back
- 3If it comes back, have a workshop check the connector with diagnostic equipment and replace the buckle if the connector is fault-free
- 4Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop check it
