What does this fault code mean?
The supplemental restraint system cannot communicate correctly with the front right impact sensor. This can be caused by contact resistance or an open circuit in the signal line, or by a faulty sensor itself.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance or open circuit in the signal line between the front right impact sensor and the SRS control module
- A faulty front impact sensor with an open circuit inside it
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop visually check the connector at the front right impact sensor and the connector to the SRS control module for loose, oxidised or corroded contacts
- 2Follow the signal line between the sensor and the SRS control module and look for chafing and crush damage
- 3Clear the code and see if it comes back
- 4If it comes back, have a workshop check the connector and the sensor with workshop tools
- 5Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop check it
