Possible causes
- Contact resistance or open circuit in the signal line between the front left impact sensor and the SRS control module
- Open circuit in a faulty front impact sensor
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop visually check the connector at the front left impact sensor and the connector to the SRS control module for loose, oxidised or corroded contacts
- 2Follow the signal line between the sensor and the SRS control module and look for chafing and crush damage
- 3Clear the code and see if it comes back
- 4If it comes back and no other fault is found, have a workshop replace the front left impact sensor
- 5Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop check it
