What does this fault code mean?
The supplemental restraint system and the central electronics module (CEM) are configured differently for the passenger weight sensor (OWS). This is a configuration issue that a workshop needs to correct.
Possible causes
- The supplemental restraint system and the central electronics module (CEM) have different configuration for the passenger weight sensor (OWS)
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop check whether both control modules are programmed for the same kind of passenger equipment, with or without a weight sensor
- 2If the weight sensor does not match the car's equipment, have a workshop remove the wrong component and reprogram the control module that is wrong
- 3After the work, clear the code and see if it comes back
- 4Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop check it
Symptoms you may notice1
- The SRS warning lamp is on
