What does this fault code mean?
The occupant weight sensor (OWS) has an internal fault that the supplemental restraint system (SRS) detects. The passenger airbag is deactivated when this happens, and the SRS and PAD lamps come on.
Possible causes
- The OWS unit has a fault inside it
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the code, and check whether it returns after a restart
- 2Have a workshop replace the pressure sensor and module in the occupant weight sensor, then configure SRS and calibrate the sensor
- 3Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop carry out all work on the SRS and airbags

- SRS warning lamp on
- Passenger airbag deactivation (PAD) lamp on
