What does this fault code mean?
The stage 3 driver airbag circuit has been shorted to a circuit that contains an activatable collision protection system, and the SRS registers it. Stored codes for a different airbag can show which circuit is involved.
Possible causes
- Shorted between the stage 3 circuit and another circuit with an activatable collision protection system
What you can do
- 1Look for other stored codes that relate to a different airbag, and clear them afterwards
- 2Have a workshop disconnect the SRS module and the stage 3 driver airbag connectors, and measure against the other circuit
- 3Have a workshop repair the short in the wiring
- 4Only a workshop should work on the SRS or airbags; do not do this yourself
