Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
9 modelsS60 (2011–), S80 (2007–), V40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–), V70 (2008–), XC60 (2009–), XC70 (2008–)
What does this fault code mean?
The SRS measures resistance in the left curtain circuit. A resistance that stays too high for too long means a break in the wire or the curtain, or high contact resistance at the connections.
Possible causes
- Break in the wire
- Oxidised or high-resistance contacts
- Open circuit in the left-hand curtain, where the igniter has too high a resistance
What you can do
- 1Read the code, clear it and test drive to see whether it comes back
- 2Have a workshop check the connections and the wire for contact resistance and breaks
- 3If the wire is intact, have a workshop replace the left-hand inflatable curtain
- 4The SRS should only be handled by a workshop
Symptoms you may notice4
- SRS warning lamp on
- An SRS warning message is shown
- Warning symbol and text message in the display
- SRS indicator lamp lit or behaving abnormally
