What does this fault code mean?
The code applies to the resistance in the circuit to the right curtain airbag. It is stored when the resistance is too high, which can be caused by a break in the wiring, contact resistance or oxidation in the connections, or a break in the curtain airbag.
Possible causes
- Break in the wiring.
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connections.
- Break in the right curtain airbag (resistance too high in the igniter section).
What you can do
- 1Read out the fault code and clear it. If it comes back, the fault is still present.
- 2Have a workshop check the connectors in the harness to the curtain airbag for looseness, oxidation and poor contact.
- 3Have a workshop check the wire to the right curtain airbag for a break.
- 4If the wiring and connectors are sound, have a workshop replace the right curtain airbag.
- 5Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop carry out the checks.
