What does this fault code mean?
The right curtain airbag circuit has been short-circuited to another circuit that has an activatable airbag. The fault may lie in the harness or the connectors, not necessarily in the curtain airbag.
Possible causes
- Short circuit to another circuit that has an activatable airbag.
What you can do
- 1Read out the fault code and clear it. If it comes back, the fault is still present.
- 2If you have diagnostic equipment, see whether other airbag fault codes are stored. They can point to which other circuit is involved.
- 3Have a workshop check the harness to the right curtain airbag and the connectors along it for short circuits to other airbag circuits.
- 4Have a workshop remove the short circuit and replace the right curtain airbag if needed.
- 5Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop carry out the checks.
