What does this fault code mean?
The code applies to the voltage in the circuit to the front passenger seat belt buckle. The control module stores it when the voltage is too high. The cause is a wire shorted to voltage or contact problems in the connections.
Possible causes
- The wire is short-circuited to voltage.
- Short circuit in the connections.
- Looseness, contact resistance or oxidation in the connections.
What you can do
- 1Read out the fault code and clear it. If it comes back, the fault is still present.
- 2Have a workshop check the connectors at the control module and at the passenger seat belt buckle for looseness, oxidation and poor contact.
- 3Have a workshop check the wire to the passenger seat belt buckle for a short circuit to voltage from another wire.
- 4Have a workshop remedy the fault and replace the front passenger seat belt buckle if needed.
- 5Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop carry out the checks.
