What does this fault code mean?
The code applies to the voltage in the circuit to the rear left seat belt buckle. The control module stores it when the voltage is too high. The cause is a wire shorted to voltage, or contact problems and short circuits in the connections.
Possible causes
- The wire is short-circuited to voltage.
- Short circuit in the connections.
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connections.
What you can do
- 1Read out the fault code and clear it. If it comes back, the fault is still present.
- 2Have a workshop look at the joints between the control module and the rear left seat belt buckle for oxidation and contact problems.
- 3Have a workshop check the wire for a short circuit to voltage from another wire.
- 4Have a workshop remedy the fault and replace the rear left seat belt buckle if needed.
- 5Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop carry out the checks.
