What does this fault code mean?
The control module reacts when the voltage to the rear right seat belt buckle is too high or missing. The fault can come from a wire shorted to voltage or a break, and from contact problems and short circuits in the connections.
Possible causes
- The wire is short-circuited to voltage.
- Short circuit in the connections.
- Break in the wire.
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connections.
What you can do
- 1Read out the fault code and clear it. If it comes back, the fault is still present.
- 2Have a workshop check the connectors at the control module and at the rear right seat belt buckle for looseness, oxidation and contact resistance.
- 3Have a workshop check the wire to the rear right seat belt buckle for a break and for a short circuit to voltage.
- 4If the fault is still present once the wiring has been checked, have a workshop replace the rear right seat belt buckle.
- 5Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop carry out the checks.
