What does this fault code mean?
The code applies to the voltage in the circuit to the second-row right seat belt pretensioner. The control module stores it when the voltage is too low, caused by a wire shorted to ground, or by contact resistance, oxidation and short circuits in the connections.
Possible causes
- The wire is short-circuited to ground.
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connections.
- Short circuit in the connections.
What you can do
- 1Read out the fault code and clear it. If it comes back, the fault is still present.
- 2Have a workshop check the connectors at the control module and at the second-row right pretensioner for looseness and oxidation.
- 3Have a workshop check the wire to the second-row right pretensioner for a short circuit to ground.
- 4If the fault is still present once the wiring has been checked, have a workshop replace the second-row right pretensioner.
- 5Do not work on seat belt pretensioners or the airbag system yourself; have a workshop carry out the checks.
Symptoms you may notice4
