What does this fault code mean?
The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) monitors the circuit to the driver's lap seat belt pretensioner. The code is stored when that circuit is short-circuited to another circuit with an activatable restraint system and the incorrect value has persisted for a while.
Possible causes
- Short circuit to another circuit with an activatable restraint system
What you can do
- 1If you have a diagnostic tool: read whether other restraint-system fault codes are stored, since they may point to the same circuit
- 2Have a workshop check the connectors at the SRS module and the pretensioner, and the wiring to the other restraint circuits
- 3Have a workshop repair the fault and replace the pretensioner if it is faulty
- 4Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop check it
Symptoms you may notice2
- SRS warning light on
- An SRS warning message is shown
