What does this fault code mean?
The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) has found that its configuration for the left front side impact sensor is incorrect. The code is stored when the fault has persisted for a while. The software stored in the module then does not match the equipment fitted in the car.
Possible causes
- The module's software does not match the car's fitted equipment
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it, and see whether it returns
- 2Have a workshop check whether the left front side impact sensor should actually be connected in this car
- 3Have a workshop check the module configuration against the car's equipment and correct it; if already correct, the module may be faulty and need replacing
- 4Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop check it
Symptoms you may notice3
- The SRS warning light comes on or behaves abnormally
- An SRS warning message is shown
- A warning symbol and a text message are shown
