Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:

What does this fault code mean?
The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) measures the voltage in the circuit to the left rear side impact sensor. The code is stored when the voltage is too low and the incorrect value has persisted for a while. The cause may be a wire shorted to ground or contact resistance in the connections.
Possible causes
- Wire short-circuited to ground
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connections
- Short circuit in the connections
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it, and see whether it returns
- 2Have a workshop visually check the connectors at the module and at the left rear side impact sensor for looseness, oxidation and contact resistance
- 3Have a workshop check the wire to ground and repair what is found
- 4Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop check it
Symptoms you may notice3
- The SRS warning light comes on or behaves abnormally
- An SRS warning message is shown
- A warning symbol and a text message are shown
