What does this fault code mean?
The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) uses the roll-over sensor to get early information in the event of a roll-over. The code is stored when the module configuration does not match the vehicle configuration and the incorrect value has persisted for a while. The cause is faulty software in the SRS module.
Possible causes
- Faulty software in the SRS module
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it, and see whether it returns
- 2Have a workshop load new software into the SRS module and check that the configuration matches the vehicle's equipment
- 3If the fault remains after reprogramming, have a workshop load new software into the central electronic control module (CEM)
- 4Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop check it
Symptoms you may notice2
- The SRS warning light comes on or behaves abnormally
- A yellow warning symbol and a text message are shown
