What does this fault code mean?
The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) has found that the vehicle's configuration file for the occupant weight sensor is incorrect. The code is stored when the fault has persisted for a while, and the software in the module then does not match the vehicle's equipment.
Possible causes
- The module's software does not match the car's fitted equipment
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it, and see whether it returns
- 2Have a workshop check that the occupant weight sensor should be connected in this car and that the vehicle's physical equipment matches the configuration
- 3Have a workshop correct the configuration in the SRS module and replace the occupant weight sensor if needed
- 4Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop check it
Symptoms you may notice3
- The SRS warning light comes on
- An SRS warning message is shown
- The PAD lamp comes on
