What does this fault code mean?
The airbag control module (SRS) measures the current in the circuit to the seat track position sensor for the passenger seat. The fault is stored when the current is out of range. The cause can be short-circuited wires, poor contact in the connections or a damaged sensor.
Possible causes
- Wires are short-circuited
- Short circuit in the connections
- The passenger seat track position sensor is damaged
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and see whether it comes back
- 2Have a workshop check the connectors, including other connectors between the control module and the sensor, for play, oxidation and contact resistance
- 3Have a workshop check the wiring for a short circuit to voltage
- 4Have a workshop replace the passenger seat track position sensor if it is damaged
- 5Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop carry out the check and the replacement
