What does this fault code mean?
The airbag control module (SRS) has not received the control message from the instrument cluster (DIM) that concerns the SRS warning lamp. The cause may be an open circuit in the CAN network between the instrument panel and the airbag system, or a damaged instrument cluster.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the CAN network between the instrument cluster and the airbag system
- The instrument cluster (DIM) is damaged
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and see whether it comes back
- 2Have a workshop check the CAN communication between the instrument cluster and the airbag control module
- 3Have a workshop troubleshoot the instrument cluster if the communication shows no fault
- 4Have a workshop correct the fault and confirm the code does not come back
- 5Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop carry out the troubleshooting
