What does this fault code mean?
This is an event information code for the vertical acceleration sensor in the supplemental restraint system (SRS). The sensor can be temporarily overloaded while driving, depending on the driving situation or how the car is driven. The code does not indicate that the control module is broken.
Possible causes
- Temporary overload of the sensor while driving, depending on the driving situation or driving behaviour
- No repairable fault
What you can do
- 1Read out and erase the code with a diagnostic tool; normally no other action is needed
- 2No specific fault-tracing exists for this code, so leave it be and see whether it returns after a couple of drives
- 3Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop check it if the code comes back together with other faults
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
